Eataly in a small package. This store is packed with fresh Italian delicacies and the most delicious fresh mozzarella and pasta. Established in 1894, Russo’s is the closest to authentic Italian food you can get in Park Slope. It’s a tiny store without much room to move around, but the refrigerators are loaded with cheese, and fresh pasta, gnocchi, ravioli with fillings of sausage, goat cheese, spinach, mushroom, butternut squash, lobster and pumpkin.
Russo’s imports olive oils, marinated olives, pepperoni, sausage, anchovies and other authentic Italian market foods. They have a nice selection of sandwiches and a small menu of take home entrees and side dishes if you don’t feel like making dinner.
