PepsiCo, in partnership with Dunkin Donuts, has launched to the public its newest beverage. The new cool beverage is Mountain Dew™ Coolatta® and will be available at Dunkin Donut outlets nationwide.
Mountain Dew™ Coolatta® is a refreshing new slush beverage that is a combination of Mountain Dew’s lime and lemon citrus flavors and Dunkin Donuts popular Coolattas. This new product will only be available in the market for a limited time only and will be sold at Dunkin Donuts outlets all over the country.
Part of the launching celebration is an online promotion called UnFreeze It. With UnFreeze It, people get to unfreeze a Mountain Dew Coolatta from a block of ice using a real ice blaster. People who want to participate in the promotion can visit Dunkin Donuts’ website and fill out an online registration form. After registering, they will have the opportunity to be selected for a chance to win prize packs, or the grand prize of a 32-inch, 3D Television. Participants of the promotion will be required to enter pre-programmed shots and then will be able to watch through live stream if their pre-programmed shots actually break the ice and reveal the Mountain Dew Coolatta.
According to John Costello, Chief Officer for Global Marketing and Innovation of Dunkin Brands, the partnership between PepsiCo and Dunkin Donuts ring together two well-loved brands to offer consumers with a cool and refreshing slushy that patrons of Mountain Dew and Dunkin Donuts Coolattas will love. Mikel Durham, PepsiCos vice president and chief officer for innovation, said that Mountain Dew Coolatta is energy innovation on a higher level.
Suggested retail price for a 16-ounce Mountain Dew Coolatta is $2.29.
