Passage Foods is an Australian company engaged in producing convenience meal solutions from different countries. The company’s main headquarters is in Victoria, Australia with an additional office in the Connecticut, US.
History
Passage Foods was created by Chef Chris Doutre in the early 1980s. Chef Doutre’s expertise was in North Indian cuisine and he started promoting it by putting up Indian restaurants in the country.
In 2002, Chef Doutre launched a line of original Indian curry sauces. Within months, these products gained popularity and were distributed in major stores, as well as independent stores, in Australia. Two years after, the company known as Flavour Makers Pty. Ltd. bought Chef Doutre’s business. This led the company to be named Passage Foods Pty. Ltd. In 2005, Passage to India was re-launched. Three years afterward, Passage to Thailand was launched.
Since its inception, Passage Foods has continued to keep its focus on its guiding principles: true authenticity, consumer convenience and all natural, wholesome ingredients. The company takes pride in the fact that all of its recipes are carefully researched and created by specialty chefs who are from the food’s region of origin. Passage Foods’ sauces allow consumers to prepare a meal in less than 20 minutes with the least number of steps, making meals very convenient to prepare, especially for a busy family. To whom it may concern,
I was preparing a meal for a curry last night and when I poured your Rogan Josh sauce on, I noticed something in it which didn’t look right. On closer examination it seemed to be the remains of perhaps a lizard or similar small creature. I bring this to your notice for your benifit. I have the object in the freezer if you would like me to send it to you for further examination.
Of course we had to throw the meal out which was dissapointing.
