New York-based company Weight Watchers International, Incorporated recently launched its newest product to the market. These new products are actually the first of its kind in the market.

The new products are actually a collaboration between Weight Watchers and Massachusetts-based food company Greencore U.S.A. Marketed as Weight Watchers Deli Salads and Fresh Meals, these food products are chilled, freshly prepared salads and meals. What makes these products unique is they are the first in the area of portion-controlled prepared salads and meals sold mainstream.

These new products are found displayed in the meat or deli department of grocery stores and supermarkets. Consumers will have 13 varieties to choose from, including meals that are famous for being home-cooked.

Varieties of the portion-controlled prepared meals are: Chicken and Mushroom Alfredo mixed with Fettuccini, Roast Turkey Stuffed with Cranberry and Topped with Turkey Gravy, Chicken con Carne with Beans, Vegetable Lasagna, Baked Ziti, Mediterranean Chicken, Meatloaf with Garlic Mashed Potatoes, Three Cheese Ravioli, Three Cheese Macaroni, Chicken with Barbecue Sauce, Beef Lasagna, Turkey Meatballs and Penne, Santa Fe Rice and Beans.

Varieties of Deli Salads are: Seafood Salad with Lemon-Dill Dressing, Rainbow Pasta with Garden Vegetables, Macaroni Salad mixed with Chives & Bell Peppers, Chicken Salad with Dried Cranberries, Potato Salad in a Creamy Mustard Dressing, Coleslaw mixed with Onions and Fresh Carrots.

Weight Watchers Deli Salads and Prepared Meals are now available in various food retailers in different parts of the country. Retail price of each portion-controlled meal or salad ranges from $1.99 to $2.99. These meals and salads also feature the PointsPlus values of Weight Watchers.
