Michigan-based Wholey Foods launched a new line of products to the market: Boil-in-the-Bag Entrées. These entrées all have seafood as their main ingredient.
One of the reasons why this new food product is unique and is a must-try, is that you can drop it straight into boiling water, even while it is still in the bag; thus, the name Boil-in-the-Bag. The product’s packaging is strong enough to not melt in the heat of the boiling water and allow the food inside it to cook. In a way, this type of packaging is similar to that of microwaveable plastic.
Aside from the packaging, these new entrées also boast of having restaurant quality when it comes to taste. Although restaurant food takes quite some time to be served, these entrées only take 9 minutes in boiling water and are then ready for serving. Plus, since there is no need to prepare the ingredients from scratch, cleaning up will be a lot faster. Just like any ready-to-serve food product, convenience is part of this product’s main appeal.
Boil-in-the-Bag Entrées are available in the following varieties: Salmon Béarnaise, Shrimp Lime, Salmon in Fiery Tomato, Tilapia in Garlic, Lemon and Parsley, Tilapia in Pineapple, Chili and Tomato, Shrimp Cayenne and Salmon Cayenne.
According to the company’s Director for National Sales, Jerry Newport, this line of product from the company can be considered as a category all on its own, as there is no product like it that is currently existing in the market. Newport added that the company is proud to be able to serve consumers with restaurant quality food that is so easy to serve.
Our Save-A-Lot provided these products some time ago. They are so easy and delicious (I normally do not care for frozen meals) They haven’t carried them for quite a while. I am trying to locate them again. Would like to know where they are available.
