BelGioioso Cheese, Incorporated is a company engaged in the manufacture of a variety of Italian cheeses. The company is headquartered in Wisconsin, USA.
History
BelGioioso Cheese was founded by Errico Auricchio in 1979 after he moved his family to America from Italy. He wanted to follow in his father’s footsteps and produce great Italian cheeses, and was quite successful in doing so. The company uses only the freshest milk and ingredients in making its products and never cuts corners or takes shortcuts, resulting in authentic and excellent Italian cheeses.
For more than 20 years, BelGioioso Cheese has been focused on creating award winning, all-natural Italian cheeses. The company’s five cheese-manufacturing facilities are located in Pulaski, Wisconsin and Denmark. All facilities have state-of-the-art equipment and each specializes in a particular cheese. All cheeses are aged, finished and then packed for shipping straight from the manufacturing facilities. In that way, the company can be assured of total quality control implementation of the products, also assuring that the cheeses distributed are all in excellent condition.
Since the company’s inception, its cheese products have won a number of prestigious awards. Since the year 2003, the company has received an award for its cheeses every year, the latest being third place in the 2011 United States Cheese Championship Contest for its mascarpone cheese. These awards reflect BelGioioso Cheeses’ role as a standard of excellence in the cheese industry.
BelGioioso Cheese takes pride in its cheeses’ pure and distinctive flavors. The company’s products are also made in a variety of shapes, sizes and styles. Some of the company’s cheeses include mozzarella, parmesan, gorgonzola and Romano. These cheeses have been pre-cut, wrapped and then labeled, ready to be sold in grocery stores’ deli displays. In addition to these cheeses, the company also makes gluten-free and vegetarian cheeses. BelGioioso Cheese caters to food retailing companies and also supplies cheese to food service operators.
