The company Bariatric Advantage announced a recall for individual packs of its chewable multi-formula supplements. The company’s reason for making the recall is the presence of an undeclared allergen in the supplements.
Those that are affected by the recall are sample packs containing 60 and 180 tablets per bottle. These multi-formula supplements are chocolate mint truffle-flavored and are high in fat-soluble vitamins (D,E,K,A). The recall was announced after discovering that labels in the packaging of the affected products did not indicate that milk is part of the ingredients. In the investigation that was done, it was found that the manufacturer for Bariatric Advantage did not disclose the presence of milk in its ingredient specifications.
