Arlan’s Market is a family-owned business headquartered in Seabrook, Texas. This grocery store is owned and operated by the Arlan family.
History
Arlan’s Market was founded by Ames Arlan, who still is the company’s residing President. From being a sacker in a grocery store when he was young to being a Supervisor, Ames realized that his calling was in business and thus created Arlan’s Market.
Currently, there are three branches of Arlan’s Market, which is primarily based in Seabrook, Texas. Other branches of this store can be found in Crosby and Galveston. Continuous improvements have been made in the grocery stores since they were first opened. The latest improvements of which is the renovation or remodeling of Arlan’s Market in Seabrook. The newly renovated Seabrook store now offers a bistro next to the deli section. This addition was done with the intention of giving the customers a more relaxed atmosphere while shopping.
Currently, Ames’ son Nick helps in managing the business, being the vice president as well as the manager of the company. Nick’s wife Karen also works for the company and is based in the Seabrook Headquarters. Another company executive, Michael Grant has been a long time friend, as well as a business associate. Most of Arlan’s employees have been in the company for many of years and have been with the company from its small beginnings. This is just one proof that Arlan’s Market is not just a business organization but a community of friends, as well.
Arlan’s Market prides itself in providing its customers with excellent quality service. Their grocery stores are reputed to be staffed with helpful, friendly and courteous people. The company may not offer full-service stores as of now, but what they lack, they make up for with great customer service and excellent quality goods. Among the products that are sold in Arlan’s Market include great quality meats; local, as well as international brands of liquor, fresh produce, breads and pastries, good quality seafood. The store has a deli department which includes a wide list of Boars Head cheeses, as well as a selection of sliced meat. Also included in the stores deli list is Arlan’s own line of sausages, which are also popular with the stores’ shoppers. Also found in the stores is a wide display of flower arrangements and a display of ethnic foods.

I WENT TO ARLAN’S TODAY TO STOCK UP ON TOLIET PAPER. iT WAS ON SALE FOR 3.99 AND I HAD A DOLLAR OFF COUPON FOR ABOUT EIGHT PACKAGES. WELL I GRAB A CART AND WENT TO GET THE EIGHT PACKAGES IN MY CART AND WENT TO THE REGISTER. THE CASHIER TOLD ME THAT I COULD ONLY USE ONE COUPON. IS THAT CORRECT? I DIDN’T WANT TO ARGUE WITH HER SO I WENT TO PUT THEM BACK ONTO THE SHELF AND GRAB ONE,PAID FOR IT AND LEFT. IS THIS ON THE COUPON POLICY?
I’ve been shopping at the store Arlan’s took over on Zarzamora drive in San Antonio for more than 40 years. I will never by ground beef there again. I paid $3.69 a pound for ground chuck. I took it home to make burgers. when I broke the pack open, the beef had a thick middle of brown meat covered be a thin layer of bright meat.
I can’t afford to pay 3.69 a pound for old meat.
Please notify the daytime manager. I dont know if this is his doing or this practice is sactioned by arlan’s.
In addition, please ask the manager to stop constantly touching his nose and face…its gross.

I was so excited to see that Arlan’s in Seabrook will soon have a Medicine Shoppe Pharmacy!!! I expect I’ll be able to get in and out of there in 10 minutes like I do in the Arlan’s grocery. No more pharmacy lines
for me! :)
IMy mother and I recently visited the Arlans in Austin after a four store serch for pie crusts a couple days before Thanksgiving. Thankfully your store had exactly what my mother wanted and we were happy to see how clean and organized your store is. Since then we have stopped by several times after receiving the flyers in the mail. Keep up the great work you store looks great and has great sales.

I am really excited to see your store coming to the hill country, we moved here 2 years
ago from Seabrook and loved your store there. The only problem with the Handy Andy
employees here is they are not very friendly, so I hope you coming here will change
their attitude, hope to see you all soon
Well, where to start????? My daughter was let go from Arlans in Crosby. Chris the “so called” Manager stated that she was not a reliable/dependable person. She called in due to the fact that she needed to stay after school to obtain information for a project. At least she called in. Most of them don’t and don’t get reprimanded in any way because they are friends. School at this point is definitely more important. He made the comment that if she could not be there that day that he would just find someone that could work her schedule for the next week also. He didn’t even let her go in person, however, he did this the chicken way by phone. NOT professional. I was then informed that a friend of hers took her place. After a few days this same “so called” manager called this person an idiot to their face. When this happened this person stood up for theirself and was fired. Sounds like the managers of Crosby Arlans have issues. I will no longer shop at this store and have several friends and family members that will not be spending any money there either. Trust me those pockets run deep.
WHAT IS WRONG WITH YOU PEOPLE? tWICE, NOT ONCE, TWICE, MY WIFE WAS EMBARASSED BY YOUR CHECK APPROVAL COMPANY. NO MORE. HEB HERE WE COME. WHY DO YOU INSIST ON RUNNING CUSTOMERS OFF? THIS IS A FREE COUNTRY, WE WILL SHOP ELSWHERE. SANTA FE IS A SMALL TOWN. THIS STORY WILL BE HEARD ALL OVER THE COUNTY. THANKS, BUT NO THANKS. L.E.BAUGHAM
I love the store in Seabrook. My family has shopped there for years and it is a Taylor Lake Village tradition.
One of my favorite Arlan's treats is their jalepeno cheese bread that is baked on premises…..it is a real delight!
Love Arlans. Great selection, great service and competitive prices. You can actually get in and out in less than 10 minutes with anything you need. Convenience store access with supermaket selection. Best of both worlds.
