ALDI is on a roll and has been that way for quite some time now. Proof is all the new stores that ALDI has lined up for opening in the state of North Carolina.

This will not be the first time that ALDI will open one of its stores in the state. In fact, there are already existing ALDI stores in some parts of North Carolina. There are already two fully operational ALDI stores in Raleigh, and another one will soon be located in east Raleigh. The new ALDI store is scheduled to be opened in the later part of October. The discount chain has also previously announced that it has plans to open a new ALDI store next year, and it will be located in the area of  WakeForest, specifically Main Street.

An ALDI store in Durham, North Carolina will be opened in November of this year. This will be the first ALDI store in that part of the state. The new stores will have an area of 16,000 sq. ft. These new stores are a part of ALDI’s plan to expand its local operations. Currently, the discount chain already has over a thousand stores in 31 U.S. states. For 2011, ALDI has announced that it will be opening 80 more stores in the country.

ALDI became widely popular because of its private label goods and less expensive prices. Consumers began to appreciate discount stores like ALDI when the economic recession hit the country and consumers changed their spending habits and become more budget-conscious.
