Bimbo Bakeries USA Inc. has announced a recall for its bagged donuts and donitas. The recall was announced because the products, with specific UPC codes, have developed an unpleasant smell and may possibly contain molds.
The recall was initiated after the company received feedback about the products having an unpleasant odor. Customers have also complained that they suffered from temporary illness after consuming the donut products. Specific information for the recalled products are as follows:

The recalled donut products were produced using the same facilities. The Bimbo donut products were all contained in cellophane packs and have the same dates printed on the label. This date can be found on the packaging’s upper right part. Entenmann’s donut products were contained in white and blue bags with the dates printed on the top part of the packaging. Dates printed on the packs are from May 11 and 12, May 15, May 18 and 19, May 22, May 25 and 26, May 29, June 1 and 2, and June 6, 2011. Mold growth and an off-smell in food may cause temporary nausea, diarrhea and gastrointestinal distress. Customers who were able to buy the recalled bagged donuts are urged to return it to the store so that they can be given a refund.
