The Swiss company Jungbunzlauer has recently launched its newest product to the U.S. market, ERYLITE® Stevia. This new product is an all natural and sugar free sweetener. With it being sugar-free, ERYLITE® Stevia is a bulk sweetener that offers zero calories.
ERYLITE Stevia is a combination of Rebaudioside A (extracted from the plant Stevia rebaudiana) and Erythritol, a zero calorie sweetener. With this combination, the new sweetener product offers consumers with a clean sweetness (free from preservatives) combined with an exceptional digestive tolerance. Both erythritol and stevia products have been approved for use in the United States.
The company has come up with this new product with the purpose of providing consumers with a sweetener that will maximize the synergy and benefit of both erythritol and stevia. ERYLITE Stevia is tooth-friendly, but more importantly, it does not have any effect on a person’s blood sugar as it has a Glycemic Index of zero. It is considered to be digestive tolerant because it guarantees comfort at its ideal levels of consumption. One of the company’s major goals in creating this product is to provide people with a sweetener that has a pure sugar-like taste, without the presence of additional ingredients or masking agents.
ERYLITE Stevia can be used as a replacement to sugar in most food and beverages. Its ratio as a sugar replacement is 1:1. This is an especially helpful product in fruit preparations which are needed in ice cream, bakery and dairy industries. It has shown to perform wonderfully in providing sweetness and bulkiness to food products without the consumption of too much sugar.
I am enthused about this new stevia based low calorie sweetener. What i sould like to know moe about is whether it is one of those products with alcohol based sugars that are a health concern, like aspartame. Any comments would be appreciated.
