Hills Biscuit Limited is a British food company that specializes in the production of different types of biscuits. The company has its headquarters in Great Manchester, U.K.
History
John and Sarah Hill started Hill Biscuits in 1855. The two founders originally had a shop that was located in Dukinfield where they sold provisions and grocery. John and Sarah initially only wanted to complement the products that they sold at the store, which is why they started baking biscuits. Back then, they had named their business John Hill and Co..
In 1889, the demand for the Hill’s biscuits started to grow and so biscuit production was significantly increased. Hill Biscuits continued to grow to become a limited company in the year 1906. In the succeeding years, the company’s name changed to Hill Biscuits, and the company went into several ownerships. Among the company’s former owners was John Mackintosh and Co., a company that was eventually purchased by Rowntrees in 1969.
In 1980, Rowntrees made the decision to sell Hill Biscuits. Don Bennett’s company bought Hill. Under Bennett’s management, Hill Biscuits became a private company one again. Despite being under a new leadership, the values that the original owners are still being carried on up to this day.
In 2007, Hill Biscuits underwent major developments in its products and packaging. These developments led to an increased awareness of the company’s products, as well as an increase in their distribution.
Today, Hill Biscuits continues to create a wide variety of biscuits, from plain, to semi-sweet, sweet, and cream-filled. To many who patronize the company’s products, Hill Biscuits can be associated with “something nice.” That is what the taste of these biscuits make one think of, something that tastes nice. Among its biscuit varieties are custard, orange, strawberry creams and bourbon biscuits. Hill Biscuits offers a selection of cream biscuits and fingers biscuits. The company also has Snack Packs, which are individually packed gingerbread biscuits.
Aside from its own retail brand, Hill Biscuits also produces biscuits for private labels. The company also accepts contract manufacturing of biscuit ingredients and other ingredients. Although the company’s main operations is focused in the United Kingdom, Hill Biscuits products are also exported to other parts of the world.

I have been trying to get the orange creams but haven’t been able to get any for months. Please could you let me know where I can order them from.
Thank you in advance
Nicola Edwards
You advertise Ginger biscuits but I can’t find any in my surrounding area of Blackpool
I purchase Hill’s Biscuits at Publix Supermarket. It’s on the east coast, mostly in the southern and Mid-Atlantic states (Florida, Georgia, The Carolinas, and just expanded in Virginia). They are in the international foods section. If your grocery store doesn’t have it, provide the phone number and address for Hill’s to the store manager and let them know that you’re a longtime customer who spends a lot of money there, and would be generously happy to see your favorite international Hill’s Biscuits on the shelves so that you don’t have to order them through Amazon. The store manager will have them for you within two weeks because no one wants to lose business to Amazon.
Hill’s Biscuits are so delicious, in part because there’s not a whole barrel of sugar in one serving as it seems with American cookies. I’m in my mid 30s now, and my tolerance for sweets is decreasing. These biscuits are perfect with my coffee or tea, especially as a dessert. Less calories than American cookies too.
Now I just need to get my local Publix to sell the full package of ginger nuts, because those are definitely the breakout star of Hill’s Biscuits. I really can’t tolerate the taste of most ginger snap cookies but these ginger nut biscuits are perfect. If you’ve never had them, find a store that will ship them because they are too delicious.
Love your biscuits! Always enjoy them when I’m in the Bahamas. I’d sure love to be able to get them in the U.S!
