Clear Blue is a brand of diagnostic products such as pregnancy tests, fertility monitors and ovulation tests manufactured and sold by Procter & Gamble. The Clearblue brand is currently sold in over 47 countries around the world and it was first launched in the United Kingdom in 1985. The first product launched under the brand was the Clearblue pregnancy test. This came in the backdrop of the invention of lateral flow technology. This test provided pregnancy results in three minutes. Much research continued into the product development of this line. In 1996, the company launched their new pregnancy test that was able to provide results in one minute. This became the first one minute home pregnancy test in the market. In 2003, Clearblue released their pregnancy test that was able to display the test results in words on a digital screen.
Clearblue introduced their digital pregnancy test with a conception indicator in 2008. This was a technology breakthrough for the company because it became the first pregnancy test in the market that was able to show the time since ovulation alongside the pregnancy results. The test was introduced in Europe in 2008, but was not introduced into the American market until 2013. Clearblue also developed the ovulation and fertility home test devices that help women to identify the days that they are most fertile. This helps increase the chances of conception and is a big help for couples who are struggling with fertility problems.
Clearblue Easy has won a number of accolades as a result of its innovative and top of the chart products. These are some of the awards that the brand has received over the years:
Red Dot Design Award of the year in 2012 for the Clearblue Plus pregnancy test
Platinum winner in the Prima Baby Readers Awards for the Clearblue Ovulation test in 2011
