On the 18th of February, Natural Choice Distribution Company Incorporated announced a product recall on specific brands of its sandwiches and wraps. The recall is due to the presence of undeclared allergens in the products.
The affected sandwiches and wraps are under the labels Superfresh Foods, All Real Wraps and All Fare and Square. These products contain cheese, canola mayonnaise or bread that is made from whole grains. Products that have cheese do not list milk as an ingredient; products that have mayonnaise do not list egg as an ingredient and bread that is made from whole grains do not list wheat and soy as ingredients.

The affected sandwiches and wraps are distributed and sold in various areas in California.
Milk, egg, wheat and soy are common food allergens that can cause serious allergy reactions to those hypersensitive to it. Although no illnesses related to the recall have been reported, the company is taking steps to ensure that consumers are protected by making them aware of the presence of these allergens in the products.
Consumers who were able to buy the recalled wraps and sandwiches are advised to return it if they are allergic to the said undeclared ingredients. They will be given a full refund once the product is returned to the store. They can also call the company’s hotline at 1 510-653-8212 from Monday until Friday, between 8 AM until 5 PM PST.
