Unified Grocer is one of the leading grocery stalls in the country. The company recently made an announcement that it will be working with Charlie’s Produce as their exclusive and only partner in reaching out to the needs of their customers in the areas around Oregon, Alaska and Washington. This is part of the strategy of the company to increase their service delivery scope and maintain quality of produce and service that they are able to give to their customers. With the emergence of big names in the grocery industry, it is important to keep up with the competition.
This partnership is anticipated to have more than 5,500 types of fresh produce along with other produce products. With Charlie being able to offer an extensive range of organic and local produce in the region, it means that the needs of the locals are sure to be met.
Unified has had a long experience in supplying groceries to the people living in the areas around Portland and Seattle. The warehouse in Portland will still be expected to continue serving the demand from the Cash and Carry stores located in the Pacific Northwest. All the other independent retail customers in the region will have to shift a little so that they will be serviced by Charlie’s. According to the president of Unified, this new program will allow their retailers to differentiate their stores because of the wide variety of produce that they will have on offer.
