CHAPEL HILL, NC – Cackalacky, Inc. will be releasing a very special “limited edition” bourbon barrel-aged Cackalacky Spice Sauce at Southern Season’s “Sunday Beer Garden” launch at Weathervane on Sunday, April 7th. Co-hosted by Durham, NC-based Fullsteam Brewery, the craft beer & food tasting event will also commemorate the twelfth anniversary of Cackalacky, Inc.
Created in Chapel Hill, NC, Cackalacky® (pronounced “kak-uh-lak-ee”) Spice Sauce is the all-natural zesty dressing, dip, topping that’s made with sweet potatoes. To help mark the special occasion, the company has aged a small batch of its signature sauce for two months in a 53-gallon Maker’s Mark bourbon barrel. Each of the 399 limited edition jars will be individually signed and numbered by Page Skelton, creator of Cackalacky, Inc.
Each guest at the beer garden party will receive a complimentary 16-ounce jar of the limited edition Cackalacky® Spice Sauce as well as the opportunity to taste some very special craft beer selections from Fullsteam Brewery and Cackalacky-inspired “small plate” offerings from Weathervane’s award-winning Executive Chef, Ryan Payne. Any jars of the special Cackalacky® sauce that remain after the Beer Garden event will be sold exclusively at Southern Season for approximately $10 each until supplies are gone.
