Upon Eberhard Anheuser’s death in 1880, his son-in-law Adolphus Busch was appointed president of the company. A year later, the company started to implement artificial refrigeration. In 1896, Michelob products were introduced to the market. In 1916, Bevo products were introduced.

In 1950, the company’s first regional brewery was completed in New Jersey.

In 1955, the beer Busch Bavarian was introduced to the market. Four years later, Busch Gardens opened in Tampa. In 1975, Busch Gardens opened in Williamsburg. Five years later, Anheuser-Busch became public when it was listed on the New York Stock Exchange. In 1982, Bud Light was introduced to the market.

In 1989, the company was able to acquire SeaWorld. Four years later, Anheuser-Busch invested in Mexico’s Grupo Modelo. In 2001, operation of Longhorn Glass Co. began. A year after, products Bacardi Silver and Michelob Ultra were rolled out all over the country. By 2003, Bud Light became the number one selling beer in the United States.

In 2008, InBev and Anheuser-Busch went into a merger. In the same year, products Bud Light Lime® and Budweiser American Ale® were also introduced. In 2010, the company again introduced a new product, Select 55®.
