5th Avenue Chocolatiere is a family-owned chocolate business. Its main store and offices are in New York City, USA.
History
5th Avenue Chocolatiere has been operating as a confectionery/chocolate business for 37 years. The business first started in 1973, when John Whaley and his family started to sell pure Belgian chocolates to consumers in New York. The 5th Avenue Chocolatiere’s chocolates are all handcrafted, and are made from all-natural ingredients of the highest quality. These chocolates are sold in the company’s Long Island and New York stores.
The 5th Avenue Chocolatiere’s chocolates are also exported to Japan where they are sold at retail kiosks, served in luxury hotels to guests, and on Japan Airlines to passengers in Business Class.
One of 5th Avenue Chocolatiere’s most popular products is their truffles. The original recipes for the truffles were created by John Whaley himself and are made of butter, whole cream and cocoa powder (fresh). However, despite these basic ingredients, 5th Avenue Chocolatiere retains a unique taste that only the company can produce. Their truffles are available in four varieties: original, champagne, strawberry and green tea.
Aside from chocolate truffles and assorted chocolates, 5th Avenue Chocolatiere also creates chocolates for gift-giving. No matter the occasion, the company always has innovative products that are packaged according to the occasion. With over 10,000 chocolate molds, 5th Avenue Chocolatiere is considered to have the largest collection of chocolate molds in all of the USA.
The 5th Avenue Chocolatiere also considers itself a business that is engaged in service. Its customers expect, and are used to, great products and great service. The company takes pride in its competitive strength, entrepreneurial spirit, organization and integrity. The company acknowledges that its existence is because of the exceptional value they provide in both service and products.
Among 5th Avenue Chocolatiere’s products are truffles (cocoa-covered, flavored), assorted chocolates (crème-filled, sugar-free), chocolate fruit, chocolate pretzels, chocolate snacks, molded chocolates, chocolate baby gifts, chocolates for parties, and chocolates for corporate giveaways. Some of 5th Avenue Chocolatiere’s notable customers include Estee Lauder, HSBC, Japan Airlines, and DeutscheBank.
